(previously Orange belt)

FITNESS

  • As set by Instructor/Examiner

BLOCKS

  • Body deflections
  • Outer forearm block (both sides)

HAND ATTACKS (both sides)

  • Roundhouse elbow
  • Back fist

KICKS (both sides)

  • Axe kick
  • Spinning outer crescent kick
  • Jumping front snap kick

COMBINATIONS

  • As set by Instructor/Examiner (up to triple techniques)

PAD WORK (To be assessed on ability to hold pads as well as strike)

  • As set by Instructor/ Examiner (up to triple techniques)
  • 2 minutes continuous punching, to include bob and weave

BALANCE

  • Turning kick (front leg) x 10 each leg without dropping leg

SPARRING (light contact only, students must have full set of safety equipment)

  • Hands only sparring - Legs only sparring - Hands and feet sparring
